The company calls Project Feast the most complete and scalable project in Queensland for making SAF from farm crops, and it works with major growers in the region.

Project Lion starts with sugarcane tops and trash. This is field residue that would otherwise be burnt or thrown away. SKY Renewables collects it and uses it as feedstock for higher-value fuels. The company turns the biomass into SAF and renewable diesel.

The company also points to benefits for regional areas. It says investment in local processing plants creates jobs and strengthens rural economies. Its partnerships with growers aim to support regions that are often overlooked.
