Atrius
Building intelligence, energy applications and airport wayfinding
About Atrius
Atrius is a software business, part of Acuity Intelligent Spaces, that builds building and airport applications used at airports in the United States, the UK and France.
Atrius connects data from the edge to the cloud. Its aim is to help spaces run smarter, adapt faster and give better experiences to the people inside. The parent group says its mission is to make spaces smarter, safer and greener.
For aviation, the main product is Atrius Wayfinder. It gives passengers 3D indoor maps for finding their way. The company says the real value is the spatial data layer under the maps. That layer shows what travellers want, how they move and what their behaviour reveals. Airport apps, airline apps and third parties can all use it. Atrius says airports and airlines serving millions of passengers trust it. Airports named include Atlanta, London Heathrow, Chicago O'Hare, Paris Charles de Gaulle, New York Kennedy and Seattle-Tacoma. One example shows an airport assistant planning an eight-minute walk to food for a traveller with a tight connection.
Atrius also sells tools for running buildings. Atrius Energy pulls energy data from many sources. Atrius Sustainability handles carbon accounting and reports. Atrius Facilities is a cloud system for managing buildings at scale. It includes a module for system integrators who work with Eclypse controllers. Atrius Locator tracks assets in real time. Atrius Vision gives spatial analytics and occupancy insight.
Atrius DataLab is the platform under every application. It is manufacturer-agnostic. It joins data from heating and cooling, lighting, energy, location, audio visual and occupancy systems. A new feature called Offline Alerts warns users when data stops arriving.
Customers include airports, airlines, corporate sites, retail, higher education and energy service partners. Results shared on the company's pages include a 19 percent energy cut at Amy's and 21 percent at USC. Weber State University reports 2.3 million dollars in energy savings. Sabey Data Centers reports 2.6 million dollars a year in savings.
