MILKOR
Defence systems including the Milkor 380 airborne platform
About MILKOR
Milkor is a South African defence company established in 1981, when it designed and developed the first six-shot 40 mm multiple grenade launcher. Its website says the weapon has been adopted by military and law enforcement forces in more than 56 countries, and that after a rejuvenation in 2015 the company set out to become a turnkey defence supplier. It has branches in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia and two regional offices in South Africa, and holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certification.
Air systems
The Milkor 380 is a multi-functional airborne platform for surveillance, reconnaissance and opportunistic engagement operations, developed independently by Milkor for extended-range, long-endurance missions. It supports integration of ISR, COMINT and SIGINT payloads, mission system and sensor fusion, communications and networking systems, manual and fully autonomous flight, line of sight communications, and brake-assisted ground control. Payload options include high-definition, infrared and multispectral video, synthetic aperture radar and inverse synthetic aperture radar for maritime monitoring, and optional customer intelligence payloads.
