ABIMDE

ABIMDE is the Brazilian association for the defense and security industry. Its website, available in English, lists member companies, industry events and news, under the line high technology for a safer future and a commitment to the defense and security industry. The association has marked 40 years of existence, and its office is on Avenida Brigadeiro Luis Antonio in Sao Paulo.

What the association does

• Represents member companies of the defense and security industrial base
• Runs an advisory council, which recently met to discuss armed forces acquisitions, strategic defence companies and the association's guidelines for 2027
• Runs committees for members, such as a tax reform committee whose first meeting aligned topics of interest to the industrial base
• Builds institutional links, for example with the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), to bring Brazilian companies closer to the international public security market
• Publishes a member directory with company contact details and product classifications

Members

Each member entry gives the company address, a contact and a classification of its products. One example is A.S. Avionics Services S.A., classified under simulators, electrical and electronic components and avionics.
