Battenberg ROBOTIC GmbH & Co. KG is a German company in Marburg that builds robot based measuring and testing systems. It serves the car, medical, aviation and consumer goods industries. The company says it has more than 40 years of experience and calls itself the inventor of measuring robotics.

The core product is Messrobotic. It joins a robot, test sensors, outside measuring tools, interfaces and the RobFlow software. Test steps can be set up by drag and drop. The company says the result is a standard for functional part testing and a benchmark for quality checks between car makers, suppliers and service firms.

Two newer products add to this. RobSimulation tests and improves test plans in a virtual setting, which cuts manual checks on site. RobMobil is a self-driving mobile robot with a seven-axis cobot and sensors. It does quality checks at positions the customer chooses.

For aviation, the company offers functional checks of aircraft parts during assembly and quality testing. This supports aircraft certification. A case study covers ultrasonic testing of aircraft composite parts with a measuring robot. Airbus appears among the customer logos.

The company also offers a set of services. These are contract measurements, sensor calibration, robot maintenance and feasibility studies. It advises a yearly sensor calibration and lends a calibrated spare sensor in the meantime. Customers on a small budget can rent a system and either return it or buy it later. The company runs workshops and training courses on programming and reading results.

Battenberg says it exports to production plants around the world and supports them with training, service and maintenance. Other named customers include Volkswagen, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Ford, ZF, Continental and John Deere.
