About Kearsley Airways

Kearsley Airways is an aerospace component repair company at London Stansted Airport in Essex, United Kingdom. The site says it has worked in component repair since 1947. It supports parts for civil and military aircraft. It is especially known for the Lockheed Martin C-130, also called the L382 Hercules, and says it is one of a few licensed C-130 repair centers in the world.

The about page tells the history. Kearsley Airways began in 1947 as a post-war charter operator, with a Percival Proctor and then three Douglas Dakotas. It flew charters from Stansted to Africa, the Middle East and the Far East, and took part in the Berlin Airlift. A maintenance base was set up at Stansted in 1949. The fleet was sold in 1950 and charter flying stopped, but the maintenance side grew into the business it is today.

The company works from a 45,000 square foot engineering site at Stansted. It says it has a total in-house capability, from receiving a component to finishing the work. A CNC machine shop supports this with milling, turning and grinding.

The home page spotlights the landing gear workshop. It does inspection, repair and overhaul of landing gear from the C-130, Boeing 737 Classic and NG, and E-3 Sentry. Other work noted is aircraft flight controls. The site mentions repairs for the Hawk and the Boeing 747 and 737. The company has approved repair status with many makers and acts as their European warranty repair station.

The site has a capability search, a rotable search and a contact form. The phone number is +44 1279 871000. There is a vacancies page.
