About Johnson Matthey

Sustainable aviation fuel technology
- JM offers process technologies for drop-in sustainable aviation fuel, including 100 percent SAF, with partners, and positions itself as helping customers launch their SAF strategy and chart a course to net-zero aviation
- FT CANS Fischer-Tropsch technology developed with bp, which produces high-quality syncrude from biomass and waste streams; it has been chosen for what the site calls the world's largest Fischer-Tropsch SAF plant, by EDL for the HyKero plant in Germany, and has produced product for Fulcrum's Sierra waste-to-fuels plant
- HyCOgen and FT CANS technologies selected for the Repsol and Aramco synthetic fuel plant in Bilbao, and support for carbon-negative renewable diesel at the Strategic Biofuels project in Louisiana
- BioForming technology from Virent and Johnson Matthey, which helped power the world's first transatlantic commercial flight on 100 percent drop-in SAF
- Analysis of SAF pricing factors, covering production costs, regulation and technology breakthroughs
Wider business
Johnson Matthey's portfolio includes catalyst screening and optimisation, chemical intermediate technologies, purification for syngas production, catalyst-coated membranes for hydrogen, clean air catalysts and PGM circularity.
