SkiesFifty is an investment company dedicated to sustainability in the aviation industry. Its stated aim is funding the journey to carbon-neutral skies by 2050. Why it exists

SkiesFifty states that sustainability is becoming the aviation industry's number one issue. Aviation accounts for about 2.5% of global emissions, and around 4 to 6% when non-CO2 effects are included, and its share is set to grow. The industry has committed to net carbon neutrality by 2050 but, in the company's view, is not yet on track: under business-as-usual scenarios aviation emissions are set to rise by 2% per year, and many individual plans collectively fall short of what is required. SkiesFifty argues that the transition needs more investment and greater collaboration.
