Helicopter Alliance

Helicopter Alliance is a group of six helicopter companies that buys decommissioned UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters divested from the US Army inventory through the Black Hawk Exchange and Sales Transaction (BEST) Program, modernises them and delivers them to governmental and commercial operators. The alliance is headquartered in the United States and Europe, with its European office in Prague, Czech Republic, and covers the full life cycle of the aircraft: sale and delivery, modernisation, mission equipment, training, MRO and sustainment.

Process

• ACE Aeronautics acquires the helicopters through the BEST Program and performs a full reset and modernisation, including PMI I, PMI II and 48-month inspections, with an optional ACE DECK digital flight deck based on Garmin avionics
• Mission equipment is fitted to order, such as cargo hooks, FRIES bars, search lights and hoists
• Pilot and technician training is delivered through USATS and European Air Services
• Ongoing support includes a spare parts inventory, full maintenance, repair and overhaul services and a field service representative programme on site with the customer

The alliance supplies modernised UH-60A and UH-60L Black Hawks and also offers aerial firefighting operations.

• Ceska letecka servisni a.s. (CLS), founded in 1997, an avionics and special mission systems company in Central and Eastern Europe
• Slovak Training Academy, a training centre at Kosice International Airport with a fleet of more than 20 helicopters
• U.S. Aviation Training Solutions (USATS), an FAA Part 141 flight school offering aircraft qualification, refresher, instructor pilot and maintenance test pilot courses
• European Air Services Slovakia, an aircraft and helicopter sales and brokerage team with offices in Prague, Kosice and Kuala Lumpur
• HELI COMPANY, founded in 2004, an approved training organisation, Part-145 maintenance organisation and Part-147 maintenance training organisation, and a certified UH-60 aerial work operator for firefighting and sling load flights
