Aircraft Industries

Aircraft Industries is a Czech aircraft maker based in Kunovice in the Czech Republic. It develops, builds, sells and services the L 410 transport aircraft. The company draws on more than 80 years of aircraft production tradition.

Production of the L 410 series began in 1969. In the first fifty years, the factory in Kunovice built more than 1,200 of these aircraft in many versions. The company says almost a third of them are still in service in more than 60 countries around the world. The current models are the L 410 NG and the L 410 UVP-E20.

Aircraft Industries also does research and development. It offers production cooperation to firms in many fields, both at home and abroad. It runs the non-public international airport at Kunovice. It is also the founder of a secondary aviation school.

Customer support is a large part of the business. The company has separate teams for sales, spare parts, after-sales service, technical bulletins and marketing. Its aircraft-on-ground teams give technical advice, handle claims and supply urgent spare parts around the clock. It also takes reports of aviation events, and it offers pilot training on the L 410.

Recent news shows how the company works with customers and the public. Aircraft Industries will deliver an L 410 NG to a flight training centre in Prague. A record 101 Czechoslovak aircraft gathered at its airfield. An open day drew almost 5,000 visitors.
