HAVELSAN
Simulation, training and defence technology from Turkey
About HAVELSAN
HAVELSAN is a Turkish technology company that builds software-heavy products, solutions and services for armed forces, public bodies and private firms.
The company was founded in 1982 and is affiliated with the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation. Its business areas are command control and defence, simulation and training, information and communication technologies, robotics and autonomous systems, and cyber security.
In command control and defence, HAVELSAN makes geographic information systems and GNSS tools, including a GNSS protection system and a GNSS receiver. It also builds ground control stations and data distribution systems for ships and submarines, along with a timing hardware product called TimeMaster. Its ADVENT C4ISR mission system links with its other platforms.
The company has a civil aviation product line and a military simulation and training line. Its solutions also cover integrated security and augmented, mixed and virtual reality. Services include combat management systems integration, integrated logistics support, training and cyber security.
HAVELSAN builds unmanned and autonomous systems too. BAHA is a sub-cloud autonomous UAV with a modular design that lets users fit different payloads. It can work with other unmanned systems. SANCAR is an armed unmanned surface vessel that can be controlled from a mobile ground control station.
The company shows its work at defence events around the world. Its 2026 list includes Euronaval in Paris, EATS in Cascais, NATO EDGE in Izmir, Expo Naval in Santiago and VNDE in Hanoi. In October 2026 it signed a memorandum of understanding with Nigeria's DICON at AFRIDEX 2026. It also showed coordinated unmanned air and maritime operations that month.
HAVELSAN runs an AI for Defence programme and has an innovation section covering new technologies, technology management and intellectual property. It also runs internship and engineering programmes for young talent.
