Lockheed Martin Corporation is a global security and aerospace company headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland. Most of its business is with the US Department of Defense and other US federal government agencies, and it also works with partner nations around the world. Its business areas are Aeronautics, Missiles and Fire Control, Rotary and Mission Systems, and Space. Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company, builds helicopters including the Black Hawk family.

Aeronautics

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is the company's aircraft business and the home of Skunk Works, its advanced development unit. Aeronautics employs more than 30,000 people worldwide. It builds and sustains military aircraft and works on hypersonic systems, joint all-domain operations, open systems architecture, artificial intelligence and autonomy.
