FFT Produktionssysteme

FFT Produktionssysteme is a German maker of flexible production systems, based in Fulda. It builds turnkey production lines for the automotive, rail and aviation industries and other sectors. The company has worked in this field since 1974 and has a global team.

FFT takes overall responsibility for complex projects. In a turnkey partnership it handles each project through to a ready-to-run handover, with quality and deadlines in mind. It has worked with automotive customers for over 50 years. These include car makers, Tier 1 suppliers and other automotive suppliers.

The turnkey process covers concept development, system planning, engineering, build-up on the customer's site, project management and quality management. Concepts are built with simulation and visualisation tools. Planning includes risk checks to avoid problems later. FFT works with a worldwide network, so it can run international projects. Its quality team follows up with customers after the project ends.

The company also offers process automation for factories. It links machines, robots, cobots and automated guided vehicles to reduce manual work and improve quality. It looks at a customer's existing machines and production strategy, finds realistic automation potential and runs workshops on using production data. It then supports the work through to commissioning.

Other services include digitalisation, robotics, research, development and after sales service. FFT has know-how in laser technology, adhesive bonding, filling technology, lightweight construction, component logistics, image processing, welding, battery testing and hemming. It also offers its own products.
