About Aljo
Aljo is a German company in Berne, in northern Germany, that develops and makes lightweight structures and systems. It builds them for aerospace, marine and special vehicle makers. It also works in automotive and energy, and it offers a worldwide service.
The company says it has made products for more than five decades. It has about 300 employees and sales of 52 million euros. It sets a goal of 150 million euros in sales in 2032. More than 35 percent of its sales now come from defence technology, and the company calls itself a strategic platform in that field. It says its systems serve civil aviation, military uses and special vehicles.
Aljo works with aluminium and covers the whole job from a first prototype to small and large series. It makes single parts, assemblies and complex projects. Its methods include 2D and 3D milling on 3, 4 and 5 axes, turning, deep drawing and edging, bending, bonding, heat treatment, welding, assembly and surface treatment. It also handles electrics, hydraulics and pneumatics, control technology, quality planning and after-sales service.
The company says its depth of production, certified processes and long experience let it meet safety-critical needs. It also says it holds a credit rating certificate, has audited compliance systems under EU and US law, and generates its own energy on site. It describes itself as independent, reliable and Nordic by nature.
Aljo also runs a global service for its marine systems. This covers delivery, installation, commissioning, support for acceptance tests and training on site. It offers integrated logistic support to keep systems ready and supplied with parts over their whole life. Its service includes technical support, spare parts supply, on-site help and repair, and retrofit and modernisation work.
The company is a mid-sized firm that holds its place through change. It says it has met new market needs again and again, on water, on land, in the air and in space.
