About Eidos Ergonomics

Eidos Ergonomics is a US manufacturer of ergonomic industrial seating used in maintenance, inspection and production environments, including aircraft hangars and aviation workshops. Founded in 1987 and celebrating more than 35 years in business, the company says it has built its business on repeat business, and its website shows customers including Bell Textron, Boeing, GE Aviation and American Airlines. Its office operates on US Central time, Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and Friday to 4:00 pm.

Why industrial seating

  • Proper body support reduces fatigue in the back, legs and supporting muscle groups, cutting discomfort-triggered work interruptions and freeing more time for value-added work
  • A stable base and rested muscles let technicians focus with fewer mental and physical distractions, so tasks are repeated with greater accuracy and less rework
  • Most non-traumatic workers' compensation claims involve supporting muscles and joints such as backs, necks, shoulders and knees; proper support addresses the static loading that is the principal risk factor
  • Workers gain comfort and greater physical control over their work, with less frustration, fewer aches and improved morale

Products

  • Industrial line seating such as the Model 106 ChairMaster, a stable, mobile and adjustable chair with five 3.5 inch casters, two of them locking, a 12 gauge powder-coated steel pan, a seat height range of 16 to 28 inches and options for standard or wide-profile seats, backrests, standpipes, caster guards and one or two toolboxes
  • The Model 106 Executive with independent seat height, seat tilt and back tilt controls, adjustable T-style armrests, an optional headrest and a 21 inch steel toolbox frame with dividers
  • The Model 103 WorkMaster industrial positioner, a heavy-duty reclining seat with a 10 inch seat height and a back that reclines from 33 inches upright to 14.5 inches, designed for hard-to-reach work areas in maintenance and inspection
