Digital pilot logbook approved by an EASA member state, from Switzerland
About capzlog.aero
capzlog.aero makes a digital pilot logbook for pilots in Switzerland and across Europe and the world. The app runs on the web and on native iOS and Android apps.
The company says its logbook is officially certified as compliant with EASA AMC1 FCL.050 under the EU aircrew rules. It calls itself the first electronic logbook to hold this certification. The logbook shows pilots whether they are current and ready to fly. It tracks flight experience, expiry dates and rolling recency. It also tracks class and type ratings, refresher courses and memberships, and pilots can set their own alerts and reminders.
One account covers all aircraft categories, including flight simulation training devices. It suits pilots from glider students to type rating examiners. More than 60 features serve general aviation, business aviation and airline pilots. Special operations under Part-SPO, such as mountain, offshore, HESLO and winch flying, are covered too. Data checks aim to prevent mistakes in flight records.
Flight Markers let pilots browse, filter and sort their flight experience. Instructors and examiners can sign entries on their own devices, at any time and from any place.
Moving to the logbook is simple. Pilots can send a scan or photo of a paper logbook and get an offer to have every entry copied over. They can also upload Excel or CSV files and fix errors with the import checks. Auto-imports sync flight data in real time from systems such as FlightLogger, Aircraft Info Desk, Air Manager, WinOps, Leon and ProAvia.
For operators and airlines, capzlog.aero offers an Interoperated Program aligned with ORO.FTL.245. It helps collect and store data, prepare for audits, and watch flight time limits and recency in one place. The company also has a partner program for authorities, flight schools, clubs, airlines, operators and software firms.
Data is kept in Swiss data centres. Pilots can try the service for 30 days. The logbook is offered in English, German, French and Italian.
