Bluetail

Bluetail is an aircraft records software company based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Its platform stores an aircraft's maintenance logbooks, documents and compliance records digitally, indexed and searchable, for owners, operators, flight departments, charter and helicopter operators and the maintenance shops that work on their aircraft. The company launched in May 2020; founders Roberto Guerrieri, the CEO, and Stuart Illian, chief aviation officer, met at Apple in Silicon Valley before moving to Arizona, where they set out to modernise aircraft records management. The site says customers rely on the platform for aircraft sales, maintenance, compliance monitoring, audits and ramp checks.

Services

The Scan and Onboard service digitises existing paper records. A nationwide network of mobile scanning representatives, made up of A&P mechanics and other aviation professionals, scans logbooks on site; the site says that since March 2022 about 95 percent of customers have chosen on site scanning, with three service packages. Optional professional services include conformity as a service for FAA conformity and inspection support. Pricing is published on the site by subscription.

Team

Besides the two founders, the leadership page lists Ben Kroll as head of customer and growth, Kent Pickard as CTO and Chris Brown as controller.

Bluetail is a records platform for aircraft of all makes, including Cirrus, and has no connection with Cirrus Aircraft.
