AirMate

AirMate is a free flight planning and navigation platform for pilots. It is an integrated solution that supports both VFR and IFR flights worldwide. The service is available on iOS, Android, and the Web.

The platform serves more than 250,000 pilots around the world. Its users include light aircraft pilots flying VFR, helicopter pilots performing aerial work or EMS rescue missions, commercial pilots flying IFR, and UAV pilots. AirMate also offers solutions for flight training, military operations, and AIM services.

AirMate provides tools for flight planning, route editing, and loading procedures such as departures, arrivals, approaches, SIDs, and STARs. Users can access worldwide weather data including METAR, TAF, SIGMET, significant weather charts, satellite imagery, and radar maps. The application consolidates ADS-B and FLARM traffic to display nearby aircraft on the map.

The iOS version displays an EFIS and AHRS view with flight parameters. It includes free synthetic vision that shows terrain features using a worldwide terrain database. The app also displays the flight profile across terrain. AHRS data comes from iOS accelerometers, onboard avionics, or external ADS-B receivers.

AirMate contains a worldwide aviation database that is updated at every AIRAC cycle at no cost. VFR and IFR airport approach plates are available free of charge in more than 200 countries. The iOS app embeds a procedure database with many approaches, SIDs, and STARs worldwide, and can display georeferenced approach plates over the aviation map.

User data syncs between mobile devices and the Web. Pilots can plan flights at home using the Web interface and then fly with their mobile device. The platform includes social features that let users exchange information and share data with the community.
