Bose Aviation makes active noise cancelling aviation headsets for pilots. Its site says Bose has researched aviation headsets for 30 years and that its headsets carry TSO certification. Certification and testing

The site explains that a TSO (Technical Standard Order) comes from the FAA and is a minimum performance standard for materials, parts and appliances used on civil aircraft. Bose says it tests to FAA and EASA E/TSO standards and adds its own tests, often beyond what the regulators require. One example it gives is a requirement for the A30 and ProFlight Series 2 to withstand temperatures at or above 55 degrees Celsius for several hours.
