ACHILA

ACHILA, the Asociacion Chilena de Lineas Aereas, is the Chilean airlines association. It was founded in October 1997 so that air transport companies would have a channel to deal with their shared interests in an industry that is essential to the country's economy and to its users, including passengers and importers. The association represents domestic and international airlines that operate in Chile. It reports that it currently brings together 13 airlines, and that in 2023 its members carried 99 percent of passengers on domestic flights and 92 percent on international flights, according to figures from the civil aeronautics board. Its board was renewed in April 2025, and Turkish Airlines was welcomed as a new member.
