VisionSafe Corporation - EVAS

VisionSafe is an aviation safety company with its headquarters and manufacturing office at 46-217 Kahuhipa Street in Kaneohe, Hawaii. The company makes EVAS, the Emergency Vision Assurance System. The site says the system restores pilot visibility to flight instruments and forward windshields during cockpit smoke events.

The site says EVAS is self-contained and does not depend on aircraft power. It deploys rapidly, according to the site. The company says EVAS is certified on more than 120 aircraft types and installed on more than 4,500 aircraft worldwide. The site also says EVAS is approved by the FAA and EASA.

VisionSafe was founded by inventor and pilot Bertil Werjefelt. The site says the company first made portable breathing equipment, which is now used across commercial aviation, and then turned its focus to cockpit smoke and pilot visibility. The site says the company has worked in this field for more than 30 years.

The company operates within FAA and EASA regulatory frameworks. It holds registration to ISO 9001, AS9100 and AS9110 quality standards. The site says its systems are installed across commercial, cargo, business aviation, military and government fleets.

Leadership includes Jon-Michael Kasten, chief executive officer, who has over 20 years of experience running aerospace parts manufacturing businesses. The site says MaryAnn Omerod, chief operating officer, has led operations in Kaneohe for more than 25 years. James Zanino leads the sales organization.

The office phone number is +1 (808) 235-0849. The site has pages on EVAS, how it works, markets, an exchange program, certifications, a service page, smoke incidents, training and frequently asked questions. It also has a client portal and a LinkedIn page.
