THINKY USA, Inc. is the North American office of Thinky Corporation of Tokyo, the company that developed the first practical planetary centrifugal mixers. Based at 23151 Verdugo Drive, Suite 112, Laguna Hills, California, it sells and services mixers that mix, defoam, disperse and pulverise viscous materials in minutes, and handles general sales enquiries, parts, maintenance, service and repair for the United States. The parent company's headquarters is in the 2nd DIC Building, Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, and its motto is Stirring and Inspiring Manufacturing.

The planetary centrifugal system spins a container on its own axis while revolving it around a central axis, so materials of different viscosity are mixed and bubbles removed without stirring blades. Typical uses include silicones, sealants, adhesives, epoxies and composite resins used in aerospace and satellite manufacturing, and research into polymer nanocomposites.

Customers

A University of Texas at Austin mechanical engineering researcher quoted on the site has used THINKY mixers for a decade to disperse nanoparticles in polymer media while removing air bubbles. Customers surveyed in 2019 cited fast evaluation of many formulations, combined mixing and degassing, consistent homogeneous mixing and the ability to suspend particles in viscous solutions. Thinky runs an Application Laboratory for joint research and development with universities and research institutes.
