Precision machined polymer components
About AIP Precision Machining
AIP Precision Machining is a machine shop that makes machined polymer components. The company says it has more than 40 years of experience with many different polymers and part shapes. It makes custom plastic parts from a first idea through to finished product.
Its work covers four industries: aerospace and defense, medical and life sciences, specialized industrial, and power and energy. The company says it works closely with plastic manufacturers and machines material supplied by several vendors.
Engineering and consulting come first. The team advises on material selection, sizing and manufacturing techniques. Design conceptualization helps turn an idea into exact specifications for a finished part. The company also offers design for manufacturing assistance.
Machining covers 5-axis and 7-axis plastics machining, CNC milling and CNC turning. The company offers more than 100 material options and polymer and composite material expertise. It chooses the machining and annealing methods to suit each material. It says it can hold tolerances down to 0.002 mm.
Complex prototypes can be machined in as little as 10 business days. The company also offers additive manufacturing, assembly, and finishing such as deburring, painting and polishing. Finished parts are delivered from prototypes through to production.
Quality checks run at every step. The website says the company follows ISO 13485:2016, ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D, FDA, FAA and ITAR standards. Its metrology team provides inspection reports. The site shows certificates for ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
The company lists events it will attend, including the Farnborough Air Show in July 2026 and the ATAC Canadian Aviation Conference in Vancouver in November 2026. It also publishes a general brochure and a news section. The company describes itself as not a conventional machine shop. It says it holds critical tolerances as requirements change during development, and it offers fast turn-around on prototypes.
