About Tennessee Aircraft Services

Tennessee Aircraft Services, Inc. (TAS) is a privately owned maintenance and structural repair shop in Jackson, Tennessee, next to McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport. The business dates to 1974. Joseph New had rebuilt wrecked airplanes as a hobby in the 1960s before turning it into a full-time business in Jackson, and the company took its current name in 1989.

About the company

Owner Paul New holds an A&P certificate with Inspection Authorization and a degree in avionics technology from Southern Illinois University.
