About Teledyne

Teledyne Technologies makes precision sensors and related systems for markets from space and defence to healthcare, safety and energy. It supplies sensors across the electromagnetic and acoustic spectrums under the tagline Everywhereyoulook.

The company describes itself as a group of focused businesses with complementary technologies, not a conglomerate or holding company. Its reporting segments are Digital Imaging, Instrumentation, Aerospace and Defense Electronics, and Engineered Systems.

Business units include Teledyne Space, Teledyne Marine, Teledyne Vision Solutions, Teledyne Healthcare, Teledyne FLIR Defense and Teledyne Aerospace and Defense Electronics. Digital Imaging covers machine vision, healthcare X ray detectors, geospatial laser scanning and scientific cameras. Instrumentation covers marine, environmental and test and measurement equipment.

In aerospace and defence, Teledyne makes high reliability semiconductors, including radiation tolerant memories, processing products and high speed data converters for harsh environments. It also builds sensing platforms, including unmanned systems that work in the air, on land and underwater. Teledyne FLIR has supplied thermal imaging systems to the US government and its allies for more than 40 years.

Space work includes thermoelectric converter assemblies inside the power generator of NASA's Curiosity Mars rover. Teledyne says more than 1,000 of its scientific imaging sensors are now in space, including on the Hubble and James Webb telescopes and the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope.

Its marine unit supplied Slocum G3 gliders for a Royal Navy autonomous deployment that gathered ocean data around the British Isles. The Raymarine brand has more than 100 years of experience in marine electronics for recreational and commercial users.
