About stratosX

stratosX makes software that helps airlines recover from disruption. Its product, X360, is a decision layer for airline operations control centers. It solves aircraft, crew and passengers as one problem and ranks recovery plans by total cost while cheaper options are still open.

X360 sits on top of the systems an airline already runs. Those systems stay the source of record. The tool draws on aircraft, crew, maintenance, passenger and weather data. It gives ranked recovery plans in under a minute, so operators can compare trade-offs while the options are still open. The airline sets its own priorities, and every recommendation comes with its reasoning.

The platform works in three steps: predict, recover and learn. Predict spots disruption risk early and shows where pressure is building across the network up to seven days ahead. Recover ranks plans by total cost, and the airline's operator approves the choice. Learn compares planned and actual outcomes and reviews delay causes and recovery costs, so the next disruption is better handled.

A tool called Wingman brings base communications, manuals, rules and connected operational data into one conversation. Operators can ask what changed and see which decisions need attention. X360 also includes alerting and event chat, so teams can run a disruption with comms and checklists in one place.

The company sets a target of cutting by 15 percent the delay cost that recovery decides, which it puts at about 9 percent of total delay cost. It notes that around 10 percent of departures run more than an hour late and carry about 63 percent of delay minutes. Air Transat uses X360 in production, and its chief operating officer says it gives teams the visibility to act with more confidence.

stratosX says its leaders ran network operations and day-of-operations recovery at Southwest, and its builders shipped production AI. Airlines can try X360 for 30 days on public data feeds. They can also plan an implementation built on their own data, with goals agreed for 6, 12 and 18 months. Delivery is phased so that confidence comes first.
