Space Inventor
Danish satellite modules, platforms and turnkey missions

About Space Inventor
Space Inventor is an independent Danish satellite builder founded in 2015 and headquartered in Aalborg, Denmark. It designs and manufactures satellite subsystems, modules and complete platforms in-house, and serves customers and partners in the defence, commercial and scientific sectors. Its site describes the company as a second-generation New Space company working from a satellite constellation factory in Denmark.
Satellite modules
The company's modules are built as scalable building blocks for complete platforms, covering communications, Earth observation and security missions. Product groups include:
- Guidance, navigation and control: reaction wheels, sun sensors, star trackers, magnetorquers, inertial measurement units and GNSS receivers
- On-board data handling
- Satellite antenna systems
- Power management
- Communication subsystems
Satellite platforms
The BIG CAT family of platforms is built from the company's flight-proven modules. The BIG CAT 100 uses a quarter-plate payload adapter, the BIG CAT 300 is an ESPA-class satellite for a half-plate payload adapter, and the BIG CAT 600 is an ESPA Grande-class satellite for a full-plate payload adapter, intended for heavier missions. Space Inventor also offers turnkey satellite solutions and mission services.
Flexible Modularity and production
Space Inventor calls its design philosophy Flexible Modularity: missions are assembled from standardised, flight-proven subsystems while the structure itself can adapt if a payload changes during a project. The company says it manufactures about 95 percent of satellite subsystems in-house, using five-axis CNC machining and automated electronics assembly with full production traceability. Each mission is run by a programme manager, a system engineer and a product assurance lead. The site refers to satellite constellations built for sovereign surveillance over sea and land.
