Shabstec Limited

Shabstec Limited is a company that designs baggage and IT solutions for the aviation industry. It is based in Leicester, United Kingdom. The company's stated goal is to help every passenger keep their luggage with them all the time.

The company says it has over 75 man years of experience. It has delivered products and services to airlines and airports. Shabstec was formed in 2015. It was set up to address a lack of progress in baggage handling logistics and related IT.

The site lists a range of products. These include baggage reconciliation, hold baggage screening, arrivals bag processing and PAX screening lanes. It also lists sort allocation computers, reporting and management tools, IATA Resolution 753 and 1755 DCS solutions, home check in systems, FIDS and BIDS software, and boarding pass scanning. Some products have their own names, such as Tag For Life, Baggage Panorama and Bagnition.

The company says it plans to offer its services as software as a service on a cloud basis. It believes airports have relied on bespoke logistics work for too long. It names Microsoft, Zebra and ProGlove as technology partners. It says it will work with them to deliver high levels of security and reliability.

The site also covers environmental goals. The company says current technology can reduce the carbon footprint of airports and airlines. Its stated aims include net zero emissions and on time, safe and secure baggage delivery. Shabstec is a member of the British Aviation Group.
