S3 AeroDefense,

S3 AeroDefense provides military aircraft spares, component repair services and customized technical solutions to global military operators. It was founded as S3 International in 2005 and works from a 73,000 square foot facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The company says its reach extends to more than 55 countries on six continents.

Spares

S3 is an authorized stocking distributor for OEMs including Arrowhead Products, Collins Aerospace, Honeywell Aerospace, Moog, Triumph Aerospace and Parker Aerospace. It also holds a distribution agreement with Arkwin Industries for rotary wing platforms. Platforms supported include the F-5, F-15, F-16, F-18, T-50, C-130, P-3, C-27J, C-17, CH-47, UH-60, AH-64, Bell 412, KUH-1 Surion, CN-235, C-295 and Cessna 208.

Repair and overhaul

The in-house repair station was established in 2011. Capabilities cover airborne electrical power generation, hydraulic primary flight control, landing gear, air turbine starters, rotor drive gearboxes and drivetrain components, fuel distribution, and other mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components. Authorizations listed on the site:

• CEF Industries: C-130 ballscrew assemblies
• Collins Aerospace: C-130 hydraulic pumps, valves, wheels and brakes
• Honeywell: parts, component repair management, modification and upgrade solutions
• Triumph Group Whippany Actuation Systems: authorized maintenance center
• UH-60 and S-70 APU accumulator repair, and distribution of TIGHITCO repairs for UH-60 main rotor spindles and CH-47 swash plates

Engineering

The company designs engineering and technical solutions for fleets, from upgrades and modifications to performance based logistics. A memorandum of understanding with Honeycomb Company of America covered cooperation on structural components for military and government operators.
