Possehl Spezialbau

POSSEHL Spezialbau is a German construction company for special surfaces. It describes itself as the experts for surfaces, with more than 30 years of experience in rehabilitating, maintaining and building surfaces for many uses.

Its fields include traffic areas, where it renovates, repairs and renews roads and other traffic surfaces. It also builds airport operating areas, parks and urban living spaces, and industrial and business sites. Its work extends to the preservation and rehabilitation of engineering structures.

The EP-GRIP coating systems include EP-GRIP URBAN for squares and public spaces, EP-GRIP VELO for cycle paths, EP-GRIP MOBIL for carriageway renovation and EP-GRIP FUN. They use a reactive resin binder with mineral aggregate, and the surfaces can be coloured in many shades. Once coated they can be used quickly.

EP-GRIP VELO was developed for cycle paths, with a red finish that meets the guidelines of the German road marking association for red cycle lanes. Studies by RWTH Aachen found that it lasts at least five times longer than common cold plastic cycle path coatings, according to the company.

Other products include asphalt systems such as KATFIX DSK, concrete systems and fast curing concrete SB20. The company also offers FL8SAFE, PAVEPROTECT and POSSEHL BASE coatings, along with repair systems for concrete, masonry and industrial floors.

Reference projects include the Schenkendorf school in Koblenz, cycle paths on the Kaiserstrasse in Waldbröl, 5,500 square metres of surfacing on historic squares in Lübeck, carriageway renovation on the A14 motorway, outdoor areas at the DFB Academy in Frankfurt and 22,000 square metres of coated surface at Hofgarten and Gustav Gründgens Square in Düsseldorf.
