Dimark
Baggage handling systems for airports, built and upgraded without shutdowns
About Dimark
Dimark is a Polish engineering company that designs, builds and implements complete baggage handling systems (BHS) for airports worldwide. It specialises in brownfield projects, upgrading systems in fully operational terminals, and also delivers complete systems for new terminals.
Its modernisation work avoids shutdowns. Systems are designed end to end so that check in and baggage flow are not interrupted, and work is scheduled outside peak hours. Its DiTWIN simulation tools test new algorithms in a virtual environment before any cable is disconnected, which the company says can raise throughput by up to 30 percent.
For new terminals, Dimark provides design, production, integration and maintenance under one roof. Its systems are built to grow with passenger traffic. The company also uses 3D laser scanning and reverse engineering to recreate legacy systems when original drawings are missing.
The factory near Poznań is equipped with CNC machines, robotic welding stations and a fully automated powder coating system. Dimark builds its own equipment and software, including the DiSign platform, which is based on Revit, and its DiSCADA tools.
Reference projects include an automatic tray return system at Poznań-Ławica Airport, which handles about 3.6 million passengers a year. Other projects are a baggage handling modernisation at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, a modernisation at Tallinn Lennart Meri Airport, which served nearly 3.5 million passengers in 2024, and modernisation work at Wrocław Airport. It also built a new system for the Çukurova International Airport hub in southern Turkey and worked at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
The company says its installations span 23 countries on four continents. It also offers devices and software products alongside its systems, and it provides a resource centre, press kit and case studies.
