Approvals and installation

The home page lists FAA NORSEE approved EDS O2D2 systems for certificated aircraft. The about page states that the company does not claim its equipment is built to an FAA TSO and holds no STC or PMA, and that installing its built-in systems in a type certificated aircraft requires an FAA Form 337 field approval by an A&P mechanic. The approvals page carries letters from AAR, Bombardier and Gulfstream.

Service

Mountain High recommends routine service of portable EDS units and portable regulators every two years, which includes firmware and hardware upgrades and replacement of seals, seats, O-rings and filters, with testing on the company's ATP test set. As of 1 January 2022 the service page lists US$125 for an EDS unit and US$75 for a regulator, plus shipping; rates change; confirm with the company. Service requires an RMA number, and turnaround is quoted at 10 to 14 working days. Legacy EDS D1 and D1-A units can still be serviced while parts last. The site also has manuals, tutorial videos, a cylinder duration chart, a dealer locator and a guide to choosing an oxygen system.
