Airport and 3,000-acre business campus in Mesa, Arizona, with three runways, over 60 companies and two million passengers a year.
About Mesa Gateway Airport
Mesa Gateway Airport is an airport and business campus in Mesa, Arizona, in the southeast part of Greater Phoenix. Its site describes it as a 3,000-acre economic development project that also has three runways, averaging over 10,000 feet in length. The airport was once an Air Force training base.
The airport has a commercial terminal that serves over 2 million passengers a year. The airlines named are Allegiant and Sun Country. The site says the airport handled more than 304,000 flight operations in 2025. It also says on-site U.S. Customs and Border Protection makes it a good place to process international cargo, and calls it an emerging air cargo hub.
More than 60 companies are based on the campus. The site names Gulfstream Aerospace, Textron Aviation, Embraer, Garmin, FlightSafety International and Virgin Galactic among them. It says the airport supports more than 10,000 jobs and has a yearly economic impact of 2 billion dollars.
The airport has two master-planned developments. Gateway East is a business park for advanced manufacturing, corporate headquarters, retail and hospitality. SkyBridge Arizona is a 360-acre airport business park on the southwest side of the airport. More than 600 acres can still be developed. The site lists available properties, including a hangar and retail space at SkyBridge Arizona.
The site has pages on workforce and training, incentives and companies on site. It has a contact form, an email list sign up and two phone numbers, one for general airport information and one for the business development office. The address is 5835 South Sossaman Road, Mesa, Arizona 85212.
