KGS Electronics designs and makes solid state power conversion products for aircraft. It is based in Arcadia, California, and sells to civil and military aviation customers worldwide.

The company says it has made AC and DC power conversion products for over 50 years. These are airborne units that carry the approvals needed for flight. The main idea is simple: take the power an aircraft has and turn it into the type of power each system needs.

The product line includes static inverters for 400 Hz, and for 50 and 60 Hz. It also covers voltage and frequency converters, DC to DC power converters, light dimming power supplies and AC to DC power supplies. The 400 Hz inverters come with FAA TSO approval. Electroluminescent panel inverters are listed too, in models such as the SD3, FD15, FJ20 and SD35.

Other lines include 60 and 50 Hz sine wave frequency converters, 400 Hz frequency changers, and airborne and military DC power converters. The static inverter range for 50 and 60 Hz includes the SPS series and the SS40.

There are also several DC converters: the RH28 boost converter, the RG28 and the high power RG56. The SC3 is a small 30 VA, 400 Hz static inverter. The PH28 changes 115 V, 400 Hz power to 28 V DC at 280 watts. The PDU560 is a six channel power distribution unit rated at 200 amps with monitoring and protection.

KGS says it holds AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 quality approvals. Its products also have FAA TSO-C73 approval for static inverters and TSO-C71 approval for airborne DC power converters.
