Kelly Manufacturing Company (RC Allen Instruments)

Kelly Manufacturing Company in Wichita, Kansas, makes RC Allen Instruments, a line of flight instruments for general aviation aircraft. The RC Allen name dates to 1932, when Ralph C. Allen founded R.C. Allen Inc. in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The company moved into aircraft instruments during the Second World War, building turn and bank instruments for military aircraft. The instrument division moved to Wichita in 1977, and Kelly Manufacturing acquired the RC Allen product line in 1996.

Repair and support

Kelly Manufacturing is the authorized repair facility for RC Allen instruments and handles warranty repairs and overhauls. TSO instruments are returned with an FAA 8130 return to service certificate. Service warranties run 3 months for a functional test, 6 months for a repair and 1 year for an overhaul.
