Kale Logistics Solutions is an Indian software company that builds community platforms for air cargo, ports and wider logistics. For nearly two decades it has brought airports, ports, customs authorities, trade partners and logistics service providers onto one digital platform. Its Cargo Community System is the base of this work.

The company says more than 5,500 entities across 50 countries and 125 airports and ports benefit from its platform. Its Airport Cargo Community System links airlines, ground handlers, forwarders and customs, and it is used at more than 120 airports. The system aims to fix common problems on the ground, such as truck congestion, paperwork, low visibility of inbound freight and weak planning of staff and equipment.

At Mumbai International Airport, the company says its system is fully adopted. The airport handles 4,000 to 6,000 air waybills a day. Truck waiting time fell from two to three hours to 30 minutes. Export clearance time fell from 28 minutes to six minutes, and data accuracy rose from 85 percent to over 94 percent. At Bengaluru International Airport, paperless handling rose from 25 percent to 99 percent. Advance shipment notices rose from 15 percent to 90 percent, and online payments rose from 15 percent to 95 percent.

The product range has four groups. Community platforms include airport cargo community systems, port community systems, digital trade corridors, a logistics e-marketplace, a maritime single window system and freezone management. Enterprise solutions include AVSYS for e-commerce cargo, GALAXY for cargo ground handling, a logistics and customs control tower, CANOPUS for customs clearance, CORVI for freight forwarding and a rail order management system. Value added services cover the e-Air Waybill, e-Delivery Order, e-Certificate of Origin and manifest filing.

The company builds artificial intelligence into its platforms. The tools forecast gate congestion, peak cargo volumes and truck turnaround times. They read and check trade documents with OCR, and they flag supply chain problems early so teams can move resources.

With Transport Intelligence, the company published an annual market survey on airport cargo community systems. It drew on 200 air cargo professionals in more than 15 countries. Kale also has group companies, including Portel, AVLOG and Kale Info Solutions, and it serves North America through a separate site.
