Alstef Group designs, builds and supports automated material handling systems for airports, air cargo, parcel logistics and warehouses around the world.

The group says it has more than 60 years of experience and has delivered projects in 94 countries on six continents. It offers turnkey delivery, from first consulting and system design through manufacturing, installation and controls to commissioning and after-sales support. It has its own research and development teams that build control, diagnostic and monitoring technology.

In airports, Alstef supplies complete baggage handling systems from check-in to reclaim. The range includes check-in conveyors, transport conveyors, sortation conveyors, carousels, centering conveyors and early bag storage. XSORT is a high-speed, eco-designed cross-belt sorter made for airport baggage. The group also uses automated guided vehicles in airports and offers bag conveyability checks and human intrusion detection for baggage systems.

Baggage services include system design and delivery, modernisation and upgrades, high-speed sortation and hold baggage screening integration. BAGware is its control software, and it also offers simulation and emulation. Support covers operations and maintenance, predictive maintenance reporting, maintenance engineering, cybersecurity and 24/7 remote support with spare parts.

For air cargo, Alstef automates cargo facilities with automated guided vehicles for ULDs, containers and air freight pallets, along with conveyors and automated storage. Its warehouse automation range covers AGVs and AMRs, stacker cranes, storage shuttles, order picking robots and stations, conveying and warehouse software. Parcel handling includes high-speed sortation, label print and apply and robotic induction.

Alstef also makes moving walkways. Its warehouse customers include food, bottling, logistics and distribution, pharmacy and cosmetics, and paper and printing firms. Some business units hold ISO 14001 certification and EcoVadis recognition.
