About Giss Satcom

GISS Satcom designs, builds and integrates satellite communication systems in Poland. It has done this work since 2015. Its range covers backpack terminals, transportable terminals, communication vehicles and hub stations.

Manpack terminals can be carried in a backpack. The flagship is SatPack COBALT. Other models include SatPack L-Band, Phoenix and SatPack AutoMate. FlyAway terminals are transportable and have an automatic pointing system. SMART is one example. The FlyAway range also has an antenna control unit and a no-IDU modem module. The company also offers flat panel terminals, motorized terminals, drive away and on-the-move systems, and hub and master stations.

GISS also sells tactical equipment. The TacNet400 series is built in transportable PELI-type suitcases. It helps set up a command post quickly where fast and reliable communication matters. The series includes TacNet400R, TacNet400S and TacNet400V. The range also has battery chargers and PacStar network equipment, including CSfC solutions for sending classified information. Accessories include RF pipeline components, cabling, power supply, mounting frames, backpacks and hard cases.

The company also offers SATCOM services. Consulting covers needs analysis, system design and audits of existing systems for upgrades. Support includes maintenance, repairs, hardware and software updates, and warranty and post-warranty service. Training is offered for crews and users. Leasing lets customers lease terminals with support and consulting, with an option to buy the equipment afterwards. GISS also supplies satellite bandwidth in C, X, Low-Ku, Ku and Ka bands.

Its support services serve military, emergency services, industry and government customers. The company works with a team of engineers and technicians. Projects start with talks to understand the user's needs and limits. They then move through design, implementation, staff training and after-sales support. To pick the right terminal, an engineer proposes a setup that fits the customer's needs, staff, budget and operating conditions.

GISS says it focuses on customer needs, a complete approach, innovative solutions and constant development. Its Satellite Solutions Department follows changes in the satellite technology market and puts the reliability of supplied equipment first.
