ACORDE

ACORDE, formally Acorde Technologies, is a Spanish company based in Cantabria that designs, develops and manufactures radio frequency subsystems for strategic projects and missions. Its website says it has more than 25 years of experience and users on all six continents, and describes its engineers as RF experts for space and defence. The company says each unit is tested in extreme conditions to confirm the reliability of its subsystems.

Product lines

• SSPA and SSPB power amplifier lines for transmission, with a range of output powers and bands, which it calls a reference in the world market
• LNB receivers, described as strong performance in a very small package
• Low noise amplifiers, which the company says have the lowest noise on the market
• Upconverters that raise the input signal with high spectral purity and minimal distortion
• Block downconverters that bring the satellite frequency down so that a modem can receive it
• Transceivers that provide two-way communication in compact units

All products are designed and built for durability and correct operation in hostile environments and complex operations.

Quality and approvals

ACORDE publishes a quality page that lists UNE-EN 9100:2018 certification for aerospace quality management systems and NATO quality assurance requirements for design, development and production. After an audit by the Thales Group it was awarded the QUALIFAS Label de Transparence. It also lists declarations on RoHS and REACH conformity, ozone depleting substances, asbestos, fluorinated greenhouse gases and conflict minerals, and an equality plan in development with European co-financing.
