About Freightquip

Freightquip supplies specialist freight handling equipment in Australia and New Zealand. It works in three sectors, which are aviation, rail, and ports and terminals. The company is based in Westmeadows, Victoria. It was founded in 2001 and began in aviation before moving into rail and port equipment.

In the aviation area, Freightquip sells ground support equipment. The range includes electric ground power units, towbarless tugs, baggage tractors and passenger boarding stairs. The company is the exclusive distributor for TLD in Oceania. The site says the equipment is built to ICAO and IATA standards. Other items listed are belt loaders, cargo loaders, air start units, air conditioning units, lavatory and water trucks, military loaders and GSE chargers. It also lists fixed pre-conditioned air units and oxygen and nitrogen services.

Freightquip says it works with a network of global makers. For rail it names Newtek, Trackmobile and Zephir, and for ports it names Lifter, Novatech and Morello. The rail range covers train lifting jacks, bogie drop tables and shunters. The port range covers translifters and container handling vehicles.

The about page says the aviation slowdown during COVID led the company to put its experience to work in rail and port markets. An Australian based technical team supports customers with specification, installation, servicing, training and spare parts. The site has a careers page and a contact option. The phone number is +61 3 9344 1370.
