EUROCONTROL

EUROCONTROL is a pan-European, civil-military organisation dedicated to supporting European aviation. It was founded in 1963 and has its headquarters in Brussels. Its stated mission is advancing the highest standards of civil and military aviation across the pan-European network.

What it does

• Network management and operational performance across the European air traffic system
• Operation of the Maastricht Upper Area Control Centre (MUAC)
• Research, concept development and training, including the EUROCONTROL Innovation Hub and the Aviation Learning Centre
• Administration of route charges and cost recovery
• Work on safety, cybersecurity and environmental sustainability
• Civil-military cooperation under the Single European Sky vision

Who it supports

EUROCONTROL works with its Member States and with air navigation service providers, airspace users, airports, and aircraft and equipment manufacturers.
