About Engine Assurance Program

The Engine Assurance Program, called EAP, is an hourly maintenance program for business jet engines and auxiliary power units. It is based in Dallas, Texas. The website says the company was founded to fill a gap in the market. It offers a high-quality alternative to engine and APU coverage for older engine platforms.

EAP covers engines from several makers. These include General Electric CF34 engines, Honeywell TFE731 engines in all variants, the CFE738 and the HTF7000. The program also covers Pratt and Whitney Canada PW300 and PW500 series engines, Rolls-Royce AE3007 and BR710 engines, and TAY 611-8 engines. The company says it keeps adding engines and APUs to the program.

The engines power many business jets. The website lists Challenger, Falcon, Citation, Gulfstream, Hawker, Lear, Phenom and Legacy aircraft, among others. The program also covers the Honeywell GTCP 36 and RE series auxiliary power units. EAP says it uses the same parts, engine shops and technicians as its other programs.

EAP has an exclusive relationship with field service teams. These teams help with line maintenance, removal and replacement, AOG work and troubleshooting when other vendors are not available. The company also has a RAPID TEAM for quick response to AOG events. It supplies rental engines for major periodic inspections.

The company lists $51 million in engines, APUs and parts in inventory. It reports a 99.98 percent dispatch reliability rate and an average of 29 years of experience. Support and AOG assistance are available 24 hours a day. Clients can call the company directly, day or night, for help.

Clients can download a brochure and an APU coverage sheet. The website has a customer portal and a form that checks whether an aircraft's engines qualify for the program. Customers who were polled named customer service as the best part of working with EAP.

EAP says it is the only engine coverage provider that specializes in mature aircraft. It says it has built a highly skilled team and strategic partnerships to respond when no local resources are available. The company's contact page lists its office at 7701 Lemmon Avenue in Dallas.
