Econetix

Econetix is a carbon asset manager that develops and manages carbon projects for voluntary and compliance markets, including CORSIA and Article 6. How it works

The about page says Econetix's role varies by project, from full development and financing to the carbon component alone. In every case it holds the commercial inventory and the exclusive sales mandate, while local project partners run operations on the ground so that value stays in the host country. Econetix reports that it holds four host country Letters of Authorization covering 14.5 million tCO2e, and that it works with more than 15 partners around the world.

The site quotes a head of carbon at SCB Group who says few players can build a CORSIA portfolio from host country letters of authorization through to delivery. A managing partner at Persistent says the firm invested because of Econetix's on-the-ground network in African frontier markets. A chairman of Al Fahim Holding calls Econetix a major carbon market player in the UAE. A supplier of a net-zero runway cleaner says the partnership helped close a deal with Dubai Airport.
