DSV

DSV is a global freight and logistics company from Denmark with an aerospace logistics team. It moves parts, engines and large cargo for the aviation industry. The company says it has about 150,000 people in more than 90 countries. Schenker has now merged into DSV.

The aerospace team serves aircraft makers, engine makers, airline freight and assistance services, MRO companies and tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers. Its service runs around the clock, every day of the year. The team plans and carries out transport with a worldwide network of carriers.

For production logistics, DSV works with manufacturers and suppliers on the parts and parts used to build and assemble aircraft. It designs transport and inventory plans that help avoid backlogs. These can include reporting and ordering tools linked to the customer's IT systems.

Engine logistics is a long-standing area. The company says its aerospace team has more than 20 years of experience with aircraft engines and handles thousands of engines each year. Spare parts and aircraft on ground logistics cover routine and critical needs. The team works around the clock to get a needed part to the aircraft so that downtime stays short. For very large cargo, DSV offers air and ship chartering and project management. It writes standard operating procedures and does its own transport engineering.

DSV also handles aircraft component logistics, including cabin equipment such as aircraft seats and escape slides. It manages subcontractors through a global network of approved suppliers and carriers with aerospace experience. Customers can choose air, sea or road transport, or contract logistics services in warehouses worldwide.
