About Centennial Airport
Centennial Airport is a public airport in Englewood, Colorado, in the United States. The Arapahoe County Public Airport Authority runs it. The airport serves pilots, aircraft operators, tenants and the businesses based on the airport.
Several fixed base operators work on the airport. They are jetCenters of Colorado, Modern Aviation, Signature Aviation North and Signature Aviation South. Centennial Vertiport also operates there. A business directory lists the other companies based on the airport.
The airport offers on-demand U.S. Customs service for international arrivals, 24 hours a day. A certified customs agent helps crews and passengers clear entry into the United States. This is a user-fee service. The fee depends on the maximum gross takeoff weight of the aircraft. Clearances after normal business hours cost two times the normal rate. The customs hours change every four weeks.
Tenants and customers use gate access cards to enter the airfield. New card applications are made in person at the Airport Authority office, and applicants bring the documents listed on the registration form. Current cardholders renew each year by October 15. They can renew online, by mail or in person. All vehicle operators must follow the airport's vehicle safety rules at all times.
The airport runs an alert system called MyAPAalert. Tenants, airport users and gate access card holders can sign up to receive emergency information and important airport notices. Pilots can also find airfield information, a noise abatement guide and details of the airport's UL94 unleaded avgas program.
Centennial Airport works with its neighbours on noise. It has a noise management program and a Part 150 noise compatibility study. It also supports the community through the Centennial Airport Foundation and a scholarship program. Other community activities include the Runway 5K, airport tours and an event calendar.
The airport also shares news and announcements, career openings, public records, airport projects and development resources.
