Avitium GmbH
Cloud software for aircraft turnaround and line maintenance in Austria
About Avitium
Avitium GmbH builds cloud software for the aircraft turnaround from Vienna, Austria. It has two products that run on one flight network. They are avitium JointOps and avitium Line Maintenance. Both read the same flight schedule, pairings and day of operation, so the ramp, operations control and the hangar all see the same picture.
JointOps has been live since 2021. It is a communication link between everyone involved in an aircraft's ground operation, including the airline, airport, ground handler and border guards. It shows actual times, disruptions, departure time updates and turnaround steps in one view.
Each role has its own tools. Ops controllers manage by exception and see alerts, such as misconnecting passengers, off-slot operation and airport or ATC restrictions. Duty managers see actual times, turnaround processes and equipment. Ramp agents start, pause, extend and end the turnaround from the aircraft on a mobile app. This can happen automatically if the aircraft has an ACARS interface. Ops controllers approve or reject time extensions. Staff can chat and leave memos without extra telecom costs or SITA messages.
A reporting cockpit covers EU 261 passenger compensation, TARMAC delays, passenger loads and turnaround performance. Reports can be downloaded as xls and csv files for use in other business intelligence tools.
Avitium Line Maintenance is the newer product. It runs on the same flight network. It carries one record from the handling contract through work orders, tasks, parts fitted, tools and pick lists to the signature and stamp of the certifying staff. Contracts and obligations are assigned to flight pairings automatically. An inspection queue with e-signature works on web and mobile.
The software is a web application on Google Cloud, so no on-site installation is needed. It supports SSIM, SSM, ASM, MVT, PTM, ACARS and A-CDM on an open architecture. Avitium builds it to fit existing IT systems and moves away from monolithic designs. Customers pay only for the aircraft that fly in a month. Each user role sees only its own screens.
The company states one MRO client, 55 interested airlines, more than 200 use cases and more than 3,000 person days of work so far. Airlines can send one day of their flight schedule to see both products run on their own data.
