ARQUIMEA
Spanish technology company in space, defense and big science since 2005
About ARQUIMEA
ARQUIMEA is a Spanish technology company. It was founded in 2005. The company develops products and solutions through science and technology. It works in demanding sectors such as space, defense and aeronautics. It also works in big science, including astrophysics, particle physics and fusion energy.
The company says R&D is in its DNA. It invests most of its annual profit in new products and services for its clients. Its corporate research centre, the ARQUIMEA Research Center, works on disruptive technologies. The website says the centre has more than 70 researchers.
Defense is a major area of work. The Q-SLAM-40 loitering system is being integrated into the GUARDIAN 30 remote weapon station with EM and E Group. It was shown at the Spanish Army's 2E+I Forum in September 2026. The autonomous S-WISE and Q-SLAM-40 systems were validated in realistic scenarios during NATO's REPMUS26 exercise.
The company works in space, aeronautics, astrophysics, particle physics, fusion and energy, and deep geological storage. It also offers financing for R and D and innovation projects. Its sectors and technologies are described on its website, with links to each sector page.
The company reports turnover of 115 million euros in 2022. It has more than 500 employees, mostly engineers and technical experts. It says it has more than 20 years of experience and works in eight or more sectors.
In October 2026 the company launched a new 40 million euro bond issue on MARF. The funds support its growth plan across defense, space and new technologies. The same month it named a new Director of Strategy for its defense business.
ARQUIMEA runs the ARQUIMEA Global Tech Challenge. It connects STEM talent with real industrial challenges through in-person sessions on system architecture, project planning and cost structure. The company's motto is think big, do the job and enjoy life.
