Amazon Air Cargo
Air freight capacity with online quoting and tracking
About Amazon Air Cargo
Amazon Air Cargo is an air cargo service from Amazon in the United States that lets business shippers quote, book and track flights on a worldwide network.
Shippers set up an account and get instant quotes. They can then book express space and follow each shipment online. The service terms say Amazon is not an air carrier. It sells space on its network by contracting with carriers that operate the aircraft, and the carrier's pilot in command has full authority over safety.
Amazon says the network has more than 100 aircraft and over 250 flights a day, seven days a week. Air carrier partners fly them. The fleet named is the 737, the 767 and the A330. The network serves North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Amazon also says it can arrange international charter flights. For domestic shipments it offers one-day cargo delivery.
The company handles many kinds of freight. General cargo includes retail and consumer goods, medical supplies and textiles. It also carries pharmaceuticals and other temperature-sensitive goods, using priority handling. Perishables such as flowers, fish and fruit move through its air hubs with temperature-sensitive equipment. Certain dangerous goods are accepted. These include biological substances, GMOs, lithium batteries in and with equipment, and dry ice at select locations. The service also ships parcels. It says it can move oversized, palletised and containerised loads.
New customers get a money-back guarantee. If a shipment arrives more than two hours after its scheduled time because of a service failure, Amazon refunds the shipping fees, with limits per flight. Other restrictions apply. A fuel surcharge based on the weekly US jet fuel index began on 6 April 2026.
Getting started takes four steps. A shipper contacts the sales team, creates an account, gets instant quotes, then books and tracks online. Shipper types include freight forwarders, direct shippers, integrators, third-party logistics firms and e-commerce businesses. Customers named on the page include DHL Express, Apex Logistics, Naniq Global Logistics and Airblox.
Amazon Air Cargo sits beside other Amazon transport services, including Amazon Supply Chain Services and Amazon Freight.
