Airline Professionals Association

The Airline Professionals Association, Teamsters Local Union No. 1224, is a pilot union based at 2754 Old State Route 73 in Wilmington, Ohio, that serves as the certified bargaining unit representing all flight crewmembers employed by ABX Air, Cape Air, Horizon Air Industries, Omni Air International and Silver Airways. It provides pilot representation, negotiates contracts and takes part in legislative advocacy to protect and enhance pilot careers, describing its members as a collective network of pilots from across the industry who collaborate to promote a better workplace and stronger careers.

Governance

• The Executive Board oversees every aspect of Local 1224's operations

Member services

• Contract negotiation and enforcement, grievance handling through stewards and representation at disciplinary hearings
• A 1224 Emergency Notification System for members involved in an aircraft accident, aircraft incident, security issue, operational problem or disciplinary hearing, with separate numbers for calls inside and outside the United States, Alaska, Canada and Puerto Rico
• News, membership information, union history resources and a communications director as a point of contact
