About Aeroprakt

Aeroprakt builds light aircraft in Poland. Aeroprakt Manufacturing Sp. z o.o. is based in Zakliczyn. Its models include the A-22, A-22L, A-22L2, A-22LS and A-32. The company says more than 900 of its aircraft are operating.

The company says its design team is experienced and follows ASTM, LTF-UL and other international standards. It checks quality at each stage of production and controls its workflow closely. It uses modern CNC machines. Each aircraft goes through static load tests, dynamic tests and flight tests.

The aircraft have a simple metal construction. They use aviation aluminium and solid rivets for all structural loads. The fabric covering has UV protection. Composite materials are used only for auxiliary parts such as engine covers and fairings. The electrical harness is shielded, and the brake lines are made of copper. The aircraft use the Rotax 912 engine.

The aircraft are very short take-off and landing machines. The wings are swept forward and have a thick profile. The landing gear is strong, with big, soft tyres. The company says the aircraft behave in a predictable way, are safe at slow speed and have safe stall behaviour. Controls are light at slow speeds and firm up at higher speeds.

Aeroprakt points to low running costs. The airframe has no time between overhaul, and the engine has an overhaul interval of 2,000 hours or 15 years. Maintenance falls due every 100 hours. Large glazing makes it easy to inspect key structure points. The cabin has plenty of room, a large luggage container, shelves, good ventilation and a metal roof that keeps off the sun.

Aeroprakt sells through dealers around the world. They are in Chile, the United Arab Emirates, France, Israel, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Germany, the United Kingdom, Austria, the Baltic states, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the United States, Australia, Turkey, Denmark, New Zealand, Argentina, South Korea and the Netherlands. Owners can find manuals, a parts catalogue and safety publications for each model.
